Jermel credits his ability to endure the rigorous discipline of writing to his career as an engineer. His ability to write about political and social problems like racism comes from his interest and self-study in the psychology of human behavior, personal experiences, being raised in the diverse culture of Jamaica, living in two predominantly white countries – Canada and the US, and his family background. His strong interest in these areas was nurtured in his early childhood.
As an author, Jermel’s goal is not just to write about problems that affect society, but also to find solutions for these problems. His blog articles and published books reflect this desire.
Jermel is married and has two adult children. His hobbies include gardening, playing pool, and reading. He and his wife currently reside in Clermont, Florida.
